What causes bad breath

Bad breath, can be a huge issue, especially when you're about to partake with your wife or say a joke to your friend or relative. The awesome news is that bad breath can often be prevented or stopped with only a few simple steps.
Bad breath is brought on by odor-bacteria which grow in the mouth. When you negate to brush regularly, bacteria accumulate on the bits of food left in your teeth. The sulfur compounds released by the bacteria make your mouth smell.
Some foods, like onions that contain pungent oils, can cause bad breath because the oils are distributed to your lungs and out through your mouth. Sometimes smoking is also a major cause of bad breath.
It is a lot of myths about taking care of your breath. Below are three things you may have heard about bad breath that are accurate:
#1: Use Mouthwash
Using mouthwash only gets rid of bad breath for a minute. If you use mouthwash, look for an antiseptic and a plaque-preventing one with a seal from the American Dental Association or their website. When you're deciding on which dental or bad breath repair products to toss into the grocery basket, it's always a good idea to look for those that are accepted by the ADA. Also, get tips from your dentist.
#2: Continue to prevent bad breath
The honest thing is that some people only brush their teeth for a few minutes, which doesn't cut it. To properly clean all the surfaces of your mouth, you should brush for at least 5 minutes and twice a day. Also, remember to brush your tongue, also because bacteria love to linger. It's also important to floss because brushing alone won't remove harmful plaque and particles that can get stuck in your teeth.
#3: Understand when bad breath happens
When you get a bad-smelling breath, you don't use your throat the same way you do when you talk. When you talk, you tend to bring out the odors from the back of your mouth, which simply breathing doesn't do. Also, because we tend to get used to our own smells, it's hard for a person to tell if he or she has bad breath.
